Keith Johnson Joins Vocollect as Vice President for Public Sector Market
PITTSBURGH (April 27) –Vocollect, Inc., the world leader in voice-centric solutions for mobile workers, today announced the appointment of Keith Johnson as Vice President, Public Sector. In this newly created position, Johnson will be responsible for driving Vocollect’s entry into United States public sector markets including federal, state and local governments, as well as non-profit educational institutions.
Because of its proven 20-year-plus track record in providing voice solutions across diverse types of distribution operations and its expertise in multi-facility deployments, Vocollect is uniquely suited to extend its offerings across the public sector.
In announcing the appointment, Joe Pajer, chief operating officer and president of Supply Chain Solutions at Vocollect, Inc., said, “Every day mobile workers all over the world use Vocollect’s industry-leading voice solutions to move more than two billion dollars’ worth of products to customer locations. These same solutions that reduce operating costs and improve productivity, accuracy, safety and job satisfaction for workers performing mobile tasks in corporate warehouses and distribution centers can be applied with great success to public sector facilities.”
Johnson’s career spans nearly 30 years of developing and executing go-to-market technology company strategies for the public sector at leading software companies such as SAP America AG and Oracle Corporation. Prior to joining Vocollect, Johnson was the Vice President, Public Sector with Liquid Machines and Vice President, Public Sector at Akamai Technologies. Keith’s extensive experience in Federal Sales includes previous senior sales positions with Oracle Corporation and SAP, where he helped lead SAP America’s Public Sector sales efforts. He holds a bachelor of science from Towson State University in the Baltimore, Md. area and resides in the Washington, D.C. area.
“I am tremendously excited about applying my public sector expertise to expand Vocollect Voice into all facets of government and non-profit,” said Johnson. “I am looking forward to helping public sector organizations around the country gain greater operational efficiencies through the application of voice technology,” he said.
Voice has a proven two-decade track record in dramatically improving operational efficiency, productivity, safety and job satisfaction for employees performing mobile tasks. Today voice technology helps employees move more than two billion dollars’ worth of goods every day from distribution centers and warehouses to customer locations across the global private sector. Via a Wi-Fi network, employees receive assignments through a lightweight, battery-powered computer device worn or held by the employee, heard through a headset, which direct the employee to perform a specific task. The employee engages in an ongoing dialogue with the information system to perform work assignments, with words recognized by voice recognition software running on the device.
Vocollect, Inc. is the number one provider of voice-centric solutions for mobile workers worldwide, helping customers achieve a higher level of business performance through voice. Every day Vocollect enables over 250,000 workers worldwide to distribute more than $2 billion dollars’ worth of goods from distribution centers and warehouses to customer locations.
